A trip to Spotlight to get this pattern to make for baby Keara for her birthday which is fast approaching (I think it will end up being one of those late gifts)
and McCalls had a buy one get one free special on. I had no idea what I wanted to get and poured through the pattern books until this caught my eye.
McCalls M5618.A Hilary Duff pattern too. Morgan thinks Hilary is "so hot" and I think that dress is. I am just loving the neckline! I also never ever make clothes for myself so I am quite excited to try this pattern out. I am hoping to make this dress to wear on Christmas Day.
So that means adding to the growing list of 'to do' projects... at least I have a whole shelf to put them on now ;)
I also wanted to share this amazing pattern for a tote handbag found over at Oh Fransson!:
it is so lovely! and the tutorial .. yeah totally free! woohoo! Thanks Elizabeth :)
oh and if you have time be sure to check out her blog and tutorial section.
Love the patterns! I will definitely want to see pictures of completed items. That dress will be ADORABLE on you!! I want one. :)
ReplyDeleteoooh Free Patterns! Way to go you, for that great steal!! I'm sure you will look amazing in your new slying dress...and WAY hotter than Hillary Duff!!! I love the little baby girl outfits, how cute are they! SO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do with all of it I'm sure it's going to look amazing :)
love you KT!
You are going to be so beautiful in that dress. I can't wait to see pictures!! And the baby girl outfits... Yum. Hooray for freebies and fun sewing projects. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the baby one with the cross straps at the back. I think it's cute as. I've seen young children wearing dresses with the same cross back design, and attempted to make one myself but failed horribly (mostly because I couldn't work out how account for extra width in the chest region that small girls don't have).
ReplyDeleteOh, and that tote bag looks great. I've been thinking up ideas for a present for a friend of mine, and I think that pattern would be good. I'll let you know if I end up using it!
Hi! I just found your blog and am sorry to say I managed to name mine almost the same! My apologies, it was not intentional! :)
