Oh my goodness - either this is a coincidence or it's because it's winter in Oz but I was just reading a mag with a page of berets and thinking how it would be great to knit one! I am not a great knitter but I know the basics (as in the very basics!). I am going to download that lovely pattern to motivate me anyway. Thanks for the link!! Gorgeous beret :)

Glad I could be of help Rebecca. Let me know how it works out.. and I think it defiantly must be something about the weather. Don't know what it's like in WA but in NSW it's only 15 degrees today and those artic winds are freezing!
